Seer Fish (Vanjaram) – 500g (cleaned, sliced)
Onion – 2 (finely chopped)
Tomato – 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Green Chili – 2 (slit)
Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs
Tamarind – small lemon-sized ball (soaked in warm water)
Oil – 4 tbsp (preferably gingelly / sesame oil)
Water – as needed
Salt – to taste
Spice Powders:
Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
Red Chili Powder – 2 tspCoriander Powder – 2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – ½ tsp (optional, for flavor)
